The Rafiki scan is a company/site assessment to quickly establish the improvement potential of an organization. The methodology is based on asking specific questions from 8 perspectives, all of which together provide a complete picture of the capacity or ability of your company to deliver a good product at the lowest possible cost.
The Rafiki scan provides a tool for operators, board members, managers, project team members and also non-operations staff to self-assess their company and operation using the assessment method. In joint consultation they determine how they score on the various assessment criteria.
The criteria, the points to be assessed and the standards in all areas are derived from what is considered best practice in each of these areas in the industry.
The duration of such an assessment round lasts, depending on team size, 2 to 3 hours.
